Prior to the first Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival in 2013, a competition was run in schools in Seychelles to design a logo for the festival. We received dozens of fantastic entries and it was an extremely tough decision for the judges, but in the end Stephanie Pool's design of a turtle and a person within the body of a turtle was chosen as the winning logo.
Leading up to the the first Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival several competitions were held in schools throughout Seychelles to create artwork inspired by turtles and turtle conservation. Below are photos of a few of the amazing entries we received.

For the 2014 turtle festival an art competition was held again in the local schools, with twelve winning drawings and paintings chosen to be included in the 2015 Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival calendar. The winning calendar images can be viewed below.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the public Artwork and Photography competitions in 2015. We had some amazing entries, making it extremely difficult to choose the winners.

A competition was also held in the local secondary schools to submit designs for the festival t-shirts. We had some excellent entries and the well deserved winners are below.
In the primary schools, students were invited to design their own sea turtle postcards. These were printed and distributed for free at the 2015 festival.

In 2016 a public artwork competition was held and invited participants to create turtle themed artwork out of recycled materials. Images of the winning entries are below.
Leading up to the 2016 festival a competition was held in secondary schools to create a turtle design for a t-shirt. The three winning designs are below and were printed onto t-shirts for the festival. Congratulations to everyone who entered.

For the primary school category, students were asked to design a turtle themed picture with a conservation message to be printed onto reusable bags. The three winning designs are below. The first prize winner's design was printed onto cotton reusable shopping bags which were distributed for free to encourage people to reduce their plastic bag use.
